By using the Rock Hands Home Services website or calling our service lines, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
1. What we are. Rock Hands is a referral network. We connect homeowners with independent local service professionals across 18 trades. Those pros are independent contractors — not our employees, agents, or partners — and each is solely responsible for their own work, pricing, warranties, licensing compliance, and insurance.
2. Estimates and pricing. Estimates arranged through our network are free and non-binding until you approve them. Final pricing, scope, and scheduling are agreed directly between you and the matched pro before work begins. We encourage you to get everything in writing.
3. Emergencies. For life-threatening emergencies — gas leaks, fire, major flooding with electrical risk — call 911 first, then call us.
4. Your responsibilities. You agree to provide accurate information about the job and your property, to ensure safe access for the pro, and to disclose known hazards (asbestos, mold, structural issues) before work begins.
5. Guarantees. Our "fixed-right" commitment means if the work isn't right, the pro returns to make it right under the terms agreed with them. Specific warranty terms are set by each pro and should be confirmed in writing before work starts.
6. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rock Hands Home Services is not liable for the acts, omissions, workmanship, or pricing of independent service pros, nor for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim related to our referral service is limited to $100.
7. Acceptable use. Don't misuse our lines or site — no spam, no fraud, no impersonation. We may refuse service to anyone abusing the network.
8. Changes to terms. We may update these terms; the version posted here governs. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rock Hands Home Services, its owners, and dispatch staff from claims arising out of your misuse of the service or your dealings with independent pros, except where caused by our own gross negligence.
10. Intellectual property. All site content — text, design, logos, the "Rock Hands" name and "Built Tough. Fixed Right." slogan — is our property or licensed to us. You may not copy, scrape, or republish it without written permission. Pros may reference their participation in the network in their own marketing with our approval.
11. Dispute resolution. If you have an issue with our referral service itself (not a pro's workmanship, which is between you and the pro), contact us first — most issues resolve with a conversation. If we can't resolve it, disputes go to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's consumer rules, on an individual basis (no class actions), in the state where the service was performed or where you reside. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first using our service by emailing support@rockhandshomeservices.com.
12. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the state where the services were performed, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Consumer protection laws in your state apply regardless.
13. Communications consent. By providing your phone number, you consent to receive calls and texts about your service request from us and the matched pro, including via automated means. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts; this doesn't affect your active service request.
14. The fixed-right guarantee, in plain terms. When a pro in our network completes your job, you do a final walkthrough and sign off. If something isn't right — workmanship defect, missed scope item, damage from the work — the pro returns and fixes it at no additional labor cost. This covers workmanship, not normal wear, not new unrelated problems, and not materials warranties (those come from manufacturers). To invoke it, contact us within 30 days of completion with your job details. Pros who don't honor the guarantee lose network access — that's the enforcement mechanism, and we use it.
15. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent allowed by law, our liability for our referral service is limited to the amount you paid us directly (which for most homeowners is zero — pros pay us, not you). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it, and your state's consumer protections apply regardless.
16. Force majeure. Nobody's liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control — natural disasters, pandemics, government orders, utility failures, supply-chain disruptions. We'll communicate promptly and reschedule fairly when these hit.
17. Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these terms without our consent. We may assign ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business, with notice to you.
18. Electronic signatures and records. By using this site and approving estimates electronically, you agree that electronic signatures and records carry the same legal weight as paper. We'll provide copies of anything you sign on request.
19. Notices. We'll send notices to the contact info you provide — email or text for routine matters. You're responsible for keeping that info current. Legal notices to us go to support@rockhandshomeservices.com.
20. No waiver. If we don't enforce a term immediately, that doesn't waive our right to enforce it later. Rights under these terms are cumulative.
21. Third-party links and tools. Our site may link to manufacturer sites, licensing boards, or other resources. We're not responsible for their content or practices — check their terms when you visit.
22. Accessibility. We're committed to making our site usable for everyone, including visitors using assistive technology. If you encounter a barrier, tell us at support@rockhandshomeservices.com and we'll address it promptly — and if you need to book service, you can always just call.
23. Pro network participation (summary). Pros participate under separate agreements covering licensing, insurance, the operating code, and the fixed-right guarantee. Nothing here creates an employment or partnership relationship between pros and Rock Hands Home Services. Pros are independent businesses; we connect, vet, and monitor — we don't direct their day-to-day work.
24. Copyright complaints (DMCA). If you believe content on our site infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@rockhandshomeservices.com with: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material and its URL, your contact information, a good-faith statement, and your physical or electronic signature. We respond to valid notices promptly, including removing material and notifying the poster, who may file a counter-notice.
25. Promotions and offers. Any seasonal promotions, referral credits, or special offers run under their own stated terms — duration, eligibility, and redemption rules as published at the time. In case of conflict, the promotion's specific terms control for that promotion.
26. Headings; survival. Section headings are for convenience only and don't affect interpretation. Sections covering indemnification, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, governing law, and intellectual property survive termination of these terms.
27. Changes to the pro network. We continuously vet and monitor the pro network — pros may be added or removed at any time based on licensing status, insurance, performance data, and homeowner feedback. If your assigned pro becomes unavailable, dispatch will reassign your job promptly at no cost to you. Removal of a pro doesn't affect work already completed under these terms or your fixed-right guarantee rights.
28. Questions about these terms. Legal language should still make sense. If anything here is unclear, email support@rockhandshomeservices.com and we'll explain it in plain English. Asking doesn't waive any of your rights — and if you spot something you think is unfair, we genuinely want to know.
29. Severability; entire agreement. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stands. These terms, plus any written estimate you approve with a pro, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding our referral service.
