This Privacy Policy explains how Rock Hands Home Services ("Rock Hands," "we") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website or contact us for service. By using our site or calling our lines, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect. When you request service, we collect your name, phone number, service address, and details about the job you need. When you browse our website, we may automatically collect basic technical data such as pages visited, device type, and approximate location — standard web analytics used to improve the site.
2. How we use it. Your contact and job details are used for one purpose: connecting you with a suitable vetted local pro, arranging your free estimate, and following up on the service. Analytics data is used to improve website performance and content. We do not sell your personal information to anyone, period.
What we don't collect. We don't ask for Social Security numbers, financial account details, or payment card data through this site — payment happens directly between you and your pro. We don't collect precise geolocation beyond the service address you provide. We don't build advertising profiles, and we don't buy data about you from brokers. If anyone claiming to be us asks for sensitive data like this, hang up and call our published number directly.
3. Sharing with pros. To arrange your service, we share relevant job details (your name, contact number, address, and job description) with the matched independent pro. Pros are required to use this information only to perform the requested service.
4. Call recording. Calls to our lines may be recorded for quality assurance, training, and to verify service details and pricing quotes.
5. Cookies and tracking. Our site may use basic cookies for functionality and anonymous analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser; the site will still work.
6. Data security. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data like we'd want ours treated.
7. Your rights. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing support@rockhandshomeservices.com. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
8. Changes. If we change this policy, we'll post the updated version here with a new effective date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept them.
9. Children's privacy. Our services are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Your state privacy rights (California and beyond). If you live in California, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we don't sell it, but you can still submit a request and we'll honor it. Similar rights exist under the laws of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other states, and we extend the same request process to everyone regardless of state. To exercise these rights, email support@rockhandshomeservices.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We'll verify your identity and respond within 45 days. We will never discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
11. Data retention. We keep your information only as long as needed: job records for up to 7 years (for warranty and tax purposes), call recordings for up to 2 years, and marketing data until you opt out. When data is no longer needed, it's deleted or anonymized.
12. Do Not Track and cookies detail. Our site uses a small set of cookies: strictly necessary ones for basic function, and analytics cookies that help us see which pages need improvement. We don't run advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site remains usable. We don't currently respond to Do Not Track signals because there's no consistent standard, but our minimal tracking makes the point moot.
13. Information from pros. Pros in our network may share job-completion details with us (work performed, completion status) so we can track quality and follow up with you. They don't receive your data beyond what's needed to perform your job.
14. Call recordings. Calls to dispatch may be recorded for quality assurance, training, and dispute resolution. Recordings are stored securely, accessible only to authorized staff, retained for up to 2 years, and never sold or shared with marketers. If you prefer not to be recorded, email us instead — though for emergencies, calling remains the fastest option.
15. Third-party processors. We use a small number of vetted service providers to operate: website hosting, analytics, email delivery, and call routing. Each processes data only on our instructions and under contract. We don't use ad networks, data brokers, or cross-site trackers.
16. Your choices, in one place. Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any email. Opt out of texts by replying STOP. Block cookies in your browser settings. Request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your data by emailing support@rockhandshomeservices.com. Ask dispatch to delete your call record. Every one of these is honored — no dark patterns, no retention mazes.
17. Security measures. We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS everywhere), access controls limiting data to staff who need it, and regular reviews of who has access. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise — but we treat your data like we'd want ours treated. If we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we'll notify you promptly as required by law.
18. Business transfers. If Rock Hands Home Services is acquired or merged, your information transfers with the business — and the buyer inherits these same privacy commitments. We'll notify you of any material change in how your data is handled.
19. Nevada and other state notices. Nevada residents may opt out of the sale of covered information — we don't sell it, and we honor opt-out requests anyway at support@rockhandshomeservices.com. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and Iowa) receive the same access, correction, deletion, and opt-out rights described in section 10.
20. International visitors. Our services target U.S. homeowners and our systems operate in the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from yours. By using the site, you consent to that transfer.
21. Job applicants and pros. If you apply to join the pro network, we collect professional information — licenses, insurance certificates, references, work history — to evaluate your application. This data is used only for vetting and network administration and is never sold or used for marketing.
22. Aggregated and de-identified data. We may use aggregated, anonymized data — for example, "average water heater replacement demand rose 18% in Texas this winter" — for business planning and to improve coverage. This data can't identify you and isn't personal information. We never publish anything that could be traced back to an individual homeowner.
23. Policy scope. This policy covers https://rockhandshomeservices.com and our dispatch operations. It doesn't cover the independent business practices of pros in our network beyond what they do with data we share for your job — for their own marketing lists or other customers, their policies apply. When in doubt about who holds your data, ask us and we'll tell you straight. This policy was last reviewed for accuracy on the effective date above, and we review it at least annually or whenever our practices change materially.
24. Contact. Questions about this policy or your data: support@rockhandshomeservices.com. For verification of a pro's credentials related to your job, call dispatch.
